The Search

How to write with soul
to let the readers know
that something lays within
within your rigid shell
beauty detonates
with mystic stories to tell
dormant, they sleep
Wake up!
and shed yourself
evasive words that won’t be caught
reach a fist into your soul
search the musty corners of your mind
tell us what you are
what you feel
what colour is your sky
what do you see in the darkness
what do you see in the night
do you run through naked fields
or sit on a rooftop in Venice
do I bleed – do I cry – do I live – do I die
what do I feel
and how can I tell you

(from “Part Three: Seduced By Fantasy…”)

Talking a bit about the craft of writing. When you’ve got stuff inside, it’s nice to be able to get it out and down on paper: ‘to let the readers know that something lays within’. An outlet. ‘What do I feel and how can I tell you’.

    • Yeah, it really is an urge, for lack of a better term. Here’s what I see/think/feel and I have to share it! And there can be so many reasons why you have to share it. In the end, it’s flat-out fun. Thank you.
