“And she’s here…”

And she’s here
and there’s sunshine
in this rainy room

on a lonely street
our house is at the end
and the rain falls
but sunshine kisses me in the morning
her blue eyes are my sky
and I’m warm in bed
and there we stay

she is sweet
and pure
and I am happy here
with her
in the rain

wheh she laughs
my soul is free
and her arms
are my sanctuary
and I get nothing done
when she is here
my mind is away
to where it longs to be

(from “Part Two: Rosie”)

“My mind is away / to where it longs to be”. That sums up a lot of this work. Escapism for a rainy day.
